Oceanoir

A golden beach at sunset. A fresh accord of seaweed and a melodious blend of citrus introduce the fragrance that forms the background to this painting. In the heart an unusual bouquet of cassis, saffron, salt crystals and bougainvillea is revealed. Slowly, with the care that every dream requires, earthy accents of vetiver, the softness of sandalwood and the warm presence of amber woods and musk, create an enveloping and lasting finish, like the indelible memory of the last ray of the sun that goes out sweetly in the depths of the infinite sea.

All around you is stillness. Even the waves are calm, lapping gently at the hull of the wooden ship you stand on. The horizon hides behind a fine, perfumed mist. The calls of gulls echo in the distance, telling you that land is near and just out of reach. Behind you lies everything you know. Before you, a horizon, still hidden, yet full of endless possibilities. You are not alone on this voyage, the world feels like it belongs to you and you only. You crane your neck and peer into the mist. Just then, the awakened sun breaks through the clouds and suddenly all the mist is golden and rising, rising faster than you can catch the last tendrils through your fingers. Everything transforms, the water sparkles, the golden road piecing itself together, brick by watery brick, as the sun lifts higher and higher into the sky. The colors transform from cool blues to soft pinks and oranges, the rays painting everything into pastels. The water stirs on the starboard side. Warmth seeps into your skin, you turn your head to the sky.
